Miki Herme Morita
ABOUT
Miki Herme Morita is the Founder and CEO of L Media Group, a New York–based marketing agency, and the Founder and Global Editor-in-Chief of Oui Speak Fashion (OSF)®, a bilingual fashion business media platform. With nearly 13 years of experience in the fashion and beauty industries across Japan and the United States, she also works as a business consultant and marketing strategist, leveraging strategic communication and cultural insight to help brands expand globally.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in English and American literature from a university in Japan, Miki moved to the United States on her own to pursue further education. She earned a degree in Fashion Business Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. Following graduation, she worked in public relations and marketing roles within the New York fashion industry before transitioning to an education-focused consulting firm, where she served as Global Marketing Director and helped launch international leadership development programs in partnership with UN-affiliated NGOs.
In 2021, she launched Oui Speak Fashion (OSF)®, a bilingual global fashion business media outlet. As a fashion journalist, she has covered Fashion Weeks in New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Taipei, publishing over 5,000 industry-focused articles.
In 2023, she established L Media Group, offering a full range of services including digital marketing strategy, brand creative direction, product development, market research, influencer casting, and event production. The agency supports Japanese brands seeking to expand into the North American market, helping them enhance brand value, attract customers, and increase sales. She has also collaborated with Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook), contributing to product development for the Reels program aimed at content creators.
Since April 2023, Miki has served as a New York–based advisor for the fashion and beauty division of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), providing strategic guidance to Japanese companies entering the U.S. market.
In addition, she leads Ouiare New York, a global career community she founded in 2020 for internationally minded professionals and entrepreneurs. The platform connects members from Japan, the U.S., and across Asia, offering educational content and networking opportunities focused on global career development.
As a media personality, Miki was chosen by Voicy, Japan's premier audio platform, to host her channel. Her broadcasts cover a wide range of topics, from the latest lifestyle trends in New York City to updates on the fashion business, marketing, and cutting-edge technologies, including generative AI.
She has also appeared as a bilingual TV reporter and commentator on various information and business news programs on networks such as Nippon TV, Fuji TV, and TV Tokyo, delivering the latest updates from New York. To date, she has conducted interviews with over 150 fashion designers, notable figures, and industry professionals in both Japanese and English.
Today, Miki combines strategic perspectives from both media and business, transcending the boundaries between journalism and marketing to strengthen her role as a cultural bridge between Japan and the United States in the fashion and beauty industries.
